The Georgian House Restaurant & Day Spa

Collaboration is the key to success

The Challenge

After more than a decade of successful operation as a beloved restaurant and day spa, the owners of the Georgian House wanted to evolve their landmark property into an exclusive private members’ club while preserving its historic charm and reputation for exceptional hospitality.

Evolution & Rebirth (2022–2023)

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Georgian House made a bold and visionary pivot. Between 2022 and 2023, the beloved restaurant and day spa closed its doors to the general public and re-emerged as the Georgian House Private Club.

Today, the historic property offers the same exceptional fine dining, serene wellness spaces, and warm hospitality, and meticulously restored heritage ambiance — but now exclusively for members. With a deliberately accessible membership fee, the club provides an elegant, tranquil retreat away from the crowds while preserving everything guests had always loved about the Georgian House.

This strategic transformation ensured the long-term sustainability of the landmark property and created an even more intimate, high-touch experience that continues to delight a loyal and growing membership.

We were honoured to partner with the owners through every step of this evolution — from redefining the brand story and crafting membership messaging to redesigning the website and producing new photography that reflects the club’s refined, members-only identity.

2018, To whom it may concern: The Georgian House opened its doors in 1987. In 1999 we worked on extension plans for the restaurant that included a sixty seat dining room and a 1000 square foot Day Spa facility. This new project required a full marketing plan with new branding of the Georgian House. We hired Jeff Poissant from Evolving Media who helped us achieve our goals to our complete satisfaction and he is still fully involved in updating/ renewing promotional material for the Georgian House Restaurant and Day Spa, eighteen years later.

Over more than two decades we have:

  • Launched the very first promotional website in 2000 to coincide with the major expansion and rebranding to “Georgian House Restaurant & Day Spa”
  • Designed and printed the signature four-panel, full-colour spa brochure that introduced the region to its new day-spa experience
  • Created business cards, outdoor signage, event posters, and the enduring tagline “Something Special for You Every Day”
  • Produced ongoing professional photography showcasing the elegant dining rooms, seasonal menus, tranquil spa treatment areas, and the inviting indoor pool
  • Placed strategic local and tourism-guide advertising that kept tables full and treatment rooms booked
  • Delivered major website redesigns in 2008 and again in 2019 — each time modernising the platform while preserving the warmth and heritage that guests love
  • Partnered through the bold 2022–2023 transformation into the members-only Georgian House Private Club, including fresh photography, refined messaging, and the latest website evolution

This case study highlights the third major iteration of the Georgian House digital presence — a fully responsive, high-performance site that continues to reflect the venue’s timeless elegance while adapting to its exclusive new chapter.

Twenty-five years in, our collaboration remains as strong and creative as ever — proof that long-term partnerships built on trust, consistency, and shared vision deliver extraordinary results.

From the very first brochure in 2000 to the latest private-club website, Jeff’s images have consistently done what words alone never could: instantly transport visitors into the warm heritage dining rooms, make taste buds water at the sight of beautifully plated dishes, and evoke the deep calm of the spa treatment rooms and the sparkling indoor pool.

  • The iconic four-panel spa brochure that introduced the region to the day-spa experience
  • Seasonal magazine ads and tourism-guide features

  • Every iteration of the website — including the immersive 360° virtual tour of the Timber Room

Promotional Items

In the year 2000, Evolving Media & Design Inc. was commissioned to design a four-panel, full-colour brochure to promote the Georgian House Restaurant & Day Spa. We worked in conjunction with Heinz Kaswurm, Master Chef, to develop the content. This entailed taking professional photos of lunch items, an area where Heinz wanted to increase traffic for the Spa, the pool and the outdoor sauna.

Evolving Media commissioned Kevin Burns of Seven Stories in Ottawa to proofread and edit the text for the brochure.

The brochure has been updated and printed four other times over the years, the last version in 2019.

Outdoor Sandwich Sign

Evolving Media was commissioned to design and print a full-colour, outdoor, two-panel, single-sided A-Frame Sign (24 inches x 48 inches), to be placed at the edge of the restaurants parking lot to attract attention from passing motorists. “The first sign that promoted the Spa did so well that someone ran over it.

As part of the promotional campaign for the Georgian House Restaurant & Day Spa, new business cards were designed and printed.
